Led by seniors Kelsey Gaid (Girls High Point winner) and Drew Onken (Boys High Point winner) the Marlins easily won the Division II State title (and placed 2nd out of all teams attending) at the 2008 SC Senior State Champions meet at Georgia Tech in December. 

The Marlins walked away with 7 individual State Champion titles and 2 State Champion relay titles.  Kelsey Gaid won the 100 free, 500 free, and 200 IM; Liz Braun took both the 100 and 200 butterfly titles and the 200 back; while Drew Onken was victorious in the 400 IM.  The girls 800 free relay and the boys 200 medley relay were also best in the state. 

Several Marlins contributed to the team victory by finishing in the top 10.  Drew placed 5x, Kelsey (4x), Courtney Peters (3x), Ansley Crenshaw (2x), Alli Crenshaw (2x), Sarah Schimenti (2x), Sarah Williford (2x), Kim Zachensky (2x), Nick Markey (1x), Devin Arch (1x), Liz Braun (1x), and Kylie Stewart (1x).  Top 20 finishers include Kylie Stewart (5x), Sarah Williford (5x), Devin Arch (4x), Derek Onken (4x), Ansley Crenshaw (3x), Liz Braun (2x), Stephanie Peters (2x), Katherine Weeks (2x), Alli Crenshaw (1x), Courtney Peters (1x), Amanda Tallman (1x), and Jordan Turner (1x).
